Southwest Christian World Missions Outreach
Southwest Christian Church works to build and maintain a "missions-minded" congregation that is serious about sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with all the world, and we take to heart the words of our Lord...

"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, even to the very end of the age." -- Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)

The Missions that we help support include:

Dallas Christian College
Organized in 1950 by Vernon Newland, Dallas Christian College is dedicated to Bible based teaching and preparation of students for full time Christian Service. The mission of DCC is to educate students for Christian leadership in the church, community, and world. Many of the graduates, are currently serving as ministers, missionaries, and in other Christian leadership roles. More than thirty members of Southwest Christian Church have attended DCC over the years with most going into Christian Ministry in a variety of services from church staff positions to foreign missions.

Pioneer Bible Translators
See a video interview of Greg Pruett to understand the vital role of Bible Translation, Pioneer Bible Translators bridges the gap between the church and the Bible-less peoples around the world. They serve 9.5 million people in 43 language projects within their current fields. God is calling them to expand and begin 26 additional projects and four new fields!  They are seeking new missionaries who will step up and meet the need for international ministry among Bible-less peoples. Their teams are composed of Bible translators, literacy specialists, church planters and a variety of support personnel all dedicated to transforming lives through God’s Word in every language. Southwest Christian supports the mission families of Brad & Tammy Harvey, on the field in Tanzania and Kenya, in East Africa and Andy and Shonna Ingram who are working in the Admin Offices of Pioneer Bible Translators in Dallas.

Mission To South Africa
Stuart and Marilyn Cook founded the Aletheia International Ministries more than forty years ago. For many years the work was centered in Johannesburg where they provided church services, counseling, Christian education, cross-cultural orientation and accommodation. Currently based in the Limpopo Province, they provide mentoring and teaching to the only English speaking church in the region, and are actively involved outreach to the rural, impoverished community of Lesiding. Until his tragic death in an auto accident in 2009, Stu had engaged in mentoring local national pastors, preaching, writing and holding his Insight Seminars. Marilyn is still deeply engaged at the Lethabo Kids Club in the Lesiding community. Up to 1000 children (many AIDS orphans) are fed physically and spiritually through her efforts every week. This outreach provides opportunity to teach the children God's love for them, and each week Marilyn and her helpers lead the children in singing and sharing Bible stories. Several of these young ones are now in their teens and are assisting Marilyn very well in her Ministry to these precious children of Lesiding.

Mexico - Colegio Biblico
Located on the Mexican border in Eagle Pass, TX since 1945, Colegio Biblico (Spanish for Bible College) is a Spanish-speaking ministry school that prepares workers from Mexico, the rest of Latin America, and the United States for Christian ministry in the Spanish-speaking world. Since 1996, Colegio Biblico has been operating Christian ministry schools on both sides of the border with Mexico, in Eagle Pass and Piedras Negras. The Mexico location allows students who could not get a visa the opportunity to receive the ministry training in their own country. Colegio Biblico teachers perform double duty teaching at both schools - Piedras Negras in the morning and in Eagle Pass in the afternoon. Though being fully utilized, this new campus is still under construction in Piedras Negras, Mexico. They have completed a new multi-purpose building that includes the new cafeteria and provides sufficient space for chapel and all special events.

Mexico - Mexican Mountain Mission
Mexican Mountain Mission was founded in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, by Ted and Wanda Murray over 40 years ago. They took in, fed and clothed orphans and street children, from the area of San Luis Potosi, deep in the interior of Mexico. Following Ted’s death in 2004, their two adopted sons, John and David, together with their wives have continued the work of the Mexican Mountain Mission. They reveal the love of Christ to these little ones, who eventually receive Christ as their Lord and Savior. The Murry's provide the necessities of life for these children, and also see that they have a strong spiritual foundation and an exceptionally high quality education.

Mexico Mission- Clinton & Alicia Looney
Clinton and Alicia Looney are outstanding servants of the Lord and have accomplished many wonderful things for His Kingdom. Clinton not only preaches and teaches in Mexico, but also raises money in the U.S. for his radio programs, for Mexican national pastors, and many building projects. In 2004 Clinton and Alicia (a registered nurse) completed and opened a medical clinic in Monclova.

Mexico - Feliciano & Petra Moreno
Feliciano and Petra Moreno work mainly in northern Mexico. He preaches and teaches in existing churches and plants new ones. He is also a trusted Biblical counselor. Before beginning his work in Mexico he preached for several years to a small Hispanic church in the south Austin area. During that time he taught and baptized a good number of people.
