Our deepest convictions guide the decision we make as a community of believers. We believe the Bible is the inspired, written Word of God without apology, and therefore is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. While the Bible itself is our formal document of faith, the following statements reflect our beliefs regarding its teachings. They should help you understand those biblical truths that define who we are:

SCRIPTURE

  • We believe God inspired the original writings of the Scripture and those original writings were consequently without error.  Mark 12:36 | John 14:26; 16:12-15 | 2 Timothy 3:14-16
  • We believe that the Bible is the final authority for all matters of faith, truth, morality, and Christian living. Isaiah 40:8 | Psalm 119:11, 105 | Matthew 5:18, 24:35 | Romans 15:4

GOD

  • We believe in one Creator God, who infinitely exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.Genesis 1:1 | John 1:1 | John 14:26
  • Jesus Christ, who is the one and only Son of God died for our sins and rose from the dead. He is The Lord and Savior of all mankind. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, being both fully human and fully divine; He lived a perfect, sinless life; He suffered, was crucified, and gave His sinless human life as the full and final atonement for all of the sins of all mankind for all time; He then rose bodily from the dead on the third day; He ascended into Heaven; and He will return in total victory to rule over all of Creation forever. 1 Cor. 15:1-8 | Philippians 2:10 | Luke 1:26-35 | Colossians 2:9
  • We believe in the Holy Spirit. Who convicts of sin; Who indwells every Christian; Who helps us in our weakness and intercedes for us in prayer; and Who renews our minds and transforms our lives empowering us into His Life of Love bearing the fruit of His Spirit revealing the Christ in this world. John 16:8 | Romans 8:26 | Galatians 5:22-23

THE GOSPEL

  • Mankind has rebelled against our Creator, separating ourselves from Him and find ourselves without hope apart from the forgiveness of sins and grace of God that comes only through the sacrificial blood of Jesus Christ. Romans 3:23 | Ephesians 2:8-9
  • Restoration to God comes by humbly confessing faith in Christ, repenting of sin, and identifying with Him in baptism (immersion). Romans 10:9 | Acts 2:38

THE CHURCH

  • The Church consists of all Christian everywhere organized into local assemblies, called churches. Hebrews 10:24-25
  • We believe that the Elders of the church are the overseers of its affairs and the shepherds of its members; that they are the final interpretive authority of the Bible's meaning and application for the church; and that they are responsible for the oversight, instruction, edification, discipline, and restoration of church members. 1 Peter 5:1-4 | Titus 1:9 | 1 Corinthians 5:11-13
  • We believe that the Bible instructs church members to meet together regularly for fellowship, worship, teaching, and the Lord's Supper. Acts 2:42 | Hebrews 10:25 | 1 Corinthians 11: 23-26
