PAUL DIAZ JR.

Senior Minister – [email protected]

Paul Diaz Jr. joined the SWCC staff in January of 2008. After being gone for 12 years, he returned to serve in his home congregation. He completed his undergraduate studies at Dallas Christian College, earned a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Austin Graduate School of Theology, and a Master of Arts in Counseling from the Seminary of the Southwest. Paul is a Licensed Professional Counselor (Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors) with a heart for seeing individuals and families restored to God.

Paul first began ministering as a Young Life leader in 1997 and has served the church in full-time ministry since 2000 at congregations in Colorado and Texas. He is passionate about reaching out to those who have missed out on a relationship with God, helping them to see that God created them for a purpose and that joy is found when our lives begin to resemble what God had intended all along.

Paul and his wife Jill were married in June of 2001 and have two sons; Paul III and Aiden. Longhorn fanatics, coffee/tea aficionados, and disc golf and guitar lovers (Paul…Jill has yet to come around), they are excited to have the opportunity to minister to the city that they love!

Clint joined the SWCC staff in April of 2017. He was brought up in Corpus Christi, TX, where most of his family still resides.  He completed his undergraduate studies in Bible at Baylor University in 2012 and earned a Masters of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary in 2016. Clint has a passion for building up strong, loving families in light of God’s eternal promise in Jesus Christ.

Clint began ministry while at college in Waco, TX, leading outreach programs for the community. He then got the opportunity, while in Seminary, to serve at a church in New Jersey as their youth minister. His experiences in ministry have shaped and equipped him to serve the people at SWCC.

Clint and his wife,  Jeni, were married in 2023.  Clint is an avid outdoorsman, who loves playing any and all sports. He has a green thumb and enjoys a wide variety of music and arts. He loves to sing and will make you feel better about your singing voice while doing it.

JORDAN SMOAK

Children's Minister – [email protected]

Jordan joined the SWCC Staff in July of 2021. Despite growing up in East Tennessee (where “UT” has a different meaning) Jordan finds he likes Texas, and Austin in particular. Jordan completed his undergraduate studies in Religion at Pepperdine University and earned a Master’s of Divinity at Princeton Theological Seminary where he started working at a church with Clint Mosley. Jordan has worked as an associate minister and as a hospital chaplain before coming to SWCC, where he now greatly enjoys the privilege to create fun and engaging times for SWCC Kids, partnering with parents and families to lay the foundation for lifelong discipleship to Jesus.

Jordan is a movie and game nut, often with a movie illustration handy, and always eager to create time and spaces for people of all ages to play together in fellowship. He’ll jump at the opportunity to sit down, have a meal with you, and pour into your family.

CHRIS DOBBS

Worship Director – [email protected]

Chris Dobbs was raised in East Texas where he and his family lived until relocating to Buda in 2014. Chris grew up in both the non-instrumental and instrumental church and blends together those experiences as he leads in worship. Chris has previously served in churches as Youth Director, Worship Leader, and Deacon before coming to SWCC. Chris has worked in various areas of the music and media industry as well as law enforcement and security.

Chris and his wife, Allison, were married in November of 1996 and have three children; Madalyn, Austin, and Carter. In his free time, you'll find him either enjoying a great band around Austin or hiking on the Greenbelt.
