PAUL DIAZ Jr. Ma, LPC

WORKSHOP FACILITATOR

Paul Diaz is graduate of Dallas Christian College where he earned a bachelor’s in Biblical Studies. He went on to earn a MA in Counseling from Seminary of the Southwest and a MA in Theological Studies from Austin Graduate School of Theology. He's been a Licensed Professional Counselor (License #69996) since 2012. Over 23 years, Paul served in various pastoral roles including student minister, worship minister, and currently serves as the  Sr. Minister at Southwest Christian Church.

 Paul’s first clinical internship was at the Austin State Hospital administering art therapy groups and working towards competency restoration with individuals on the forensics units. He has worked on a multi-disciplinary team in a pain management clinic, has worked in private practice for several years, and currently works with the Austin Stone Counseling Center.  He uses John Gottman's research and tools extensively in his practice. His focus of practice includes marriage, blended marriages (racially/culturally), anxiety, depression, child-parent conflict, parenting, life transitions, grief/loss, pain management, and addiction.
